Columbus Beagle Club originally started back in 1936.  The club purchased land to be
used as headquarters and running grounds in 1951. This is the same land that we own
today.  The clubhouse was erected in 1953.  The original enclosure that is no longer in
use was constructed in the 1960's. We now have two enclosures that are in use, as a part
of our 208 acres that we own.  Back in the 1950's and 1960's the club hosted steak dinners
to all of their guests and dances with live bands.  These events were usually held the
Saturday nights of every licensed trial or winner's stake trials.  There was a ladies
auxiliary membership that was started in 1949, but is no longer active to my knowledge.
We no longer host steak dinners and live band dances, but the guys and gals in the
kitchen do a pretty darn good job at preparing breakfast and lunch at our trials.  As of
June 2006, we have 30 members at our club with three of them being life-time members.

We have a spacious clubhouse, with two bunk rooms that hold approximately 12 people
per room.  We have 2 full bathrooms, usually one for males and the other for females.
We have a full kitchen where the meals are prepared, a wood burning fire stove for those
cold days, a camp grounds with plenty of sites and electric, a shelter house at the
campgrounds for picnics and other events held at the club, 2 enclosures and lots of room
that is not enclosed with plenty of rabbits.

Our club hosts a variety of trials with several different formats, that include traditional
brace, gun dog brace, gun dog brace to pack, and SPO.

Below are some pictures of the grounds and clubhouse.  Again thank you for visiting our
website and please come back often. This website will be updated regularly, and will
improve with time.

These kennels above can accommodate plenty
